Oilers Compete Against GVSU

Allendale, MI -The University of Findlay men and women's swimming and diving teams competed against Grand Valley State University at the GVSU Fieldhouse Pool in Allendale, Mich. on Saturday, January 13. The women fell to the Lakers by a score of 150.5-90.5 while the men fell 166-73.

The women had four first place finishes on the day. Two of those finishes were by Amanda Stiegal, with a 50 yard freestyle time of 25.11 and a 100 yard freestyle time of 54.14.

Kathryn Samuelson took first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.11 while Hanna Cederholm claimed top honors in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.76.

The men scored two first place finishes against the Lakers and both came from Janko Radmanovic. He took home the gold in the 1000 yard freestyle with a 9:59.85 time and won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.76.

The Oilers will compete at home this Friday, January 19 when they host Wayne State University.
