Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams defeated the Tiffin University Dragons on Friday, January 26 on Senior Night. The Oilers cap off their regular seasons with the women winning with a total score of 228 to Tiffin's 43, and the men defeating the Dragons 213-98.

It was a historic night for the Oilers, with both the women and men achieving feats for the first time. The women finished a perfect 6-0 in home duals this season, the first time in program history that the women have gone undefeated at home. On the men's side, the Oilers finished with a dual record of 6-5, the best record in the NCAA Division II era of the program.

Seniors came up huge for the women in their last meet at Sink Natatorium. Senior Emma Barnes won the 50 yard backstroke and 100 yard back with times of 29.15 and 1:02.72 while senior Corrina Talamo earned first place in the 1000 yard freestyle with a finish of 11:33.39. Senior Rachel Farmer finished the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 22.79 seconds to win the race. Talamo, Barnes, and Farmer joined fellow senior Alyssa Sauter to win the 200 yard freestyle relay with a 1:48.94 finish.

Sophomore Hanna Cederholm won the 100 breaststroke and the 200 yard individual medley with times of 1:06.71 and 2:11.46.

Katy Kouvaris was victorious in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:29.74. Kouvaris joined Cederholm, Kathryn Samuelson, and Amanda Stiegal to win the 200 yard medley relay with a finish of 1:47.92 seconds.

Diver Hannah May swept her events, winning the one meter dive with a score of 227.35 and the three meter with a score of 197.75.

Blanchard also won the 50 yard freestyle with a finish of 25.14. Sarah Miles took the victory in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.81.

The men finished their historic season with strong performances from their two seniors as well. Janko Radmanovic took first in the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard freestyle, and 200 yard individual medley with times of 20.62, 45.09, and 1:54.28. Fellow senior Ben Rath won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:46.90.

Conner Whitaker earned first in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 24.37. Whitaker joined Trent Williams, Isaac Stretch, and Mark Bileaud to win the 200 yard freestyle relay with a 1:27.52 finish. Isaac Stretch joines Whitaker, Williams, and Trae Gulgin to finish first with a time of 1:35.44 in the 200 yard medley relay.

Also winning their events were Parker Bull, with a 1:00.81 finish in the 100 yard breaststroke, Alex Matthews, with a 10:15.77 finish in the 100 freestyle, and Adam Stretch with a 28.14 finish in the 50 yard breaststroke.

The Oilers will head to their first ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship beginning on Wednesday, February 14 in Canton, Ohio.
