Oilers Host Northern Michigan

Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay men and women's swimming and diving teams competed on Friday, October 5 against the Northern Michigan University Wildcats.

The Oilers came in first place in the mixed 300 yard breaststroke relay with a time of 3:07.53. The first place team consisted of Hanna Cederholm, Kristina Coleman, Isaac Stretch, and Tyler Endecott. Another first place finish was by Oiler diver Dalton Shevlin in the 3 meter diving event with a score of 200.48. Shevlin also finished first in the 1 meter diving event with a score of 215.26.

Findlay finished in second place in the mixed 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:12.90 and a team of Amanda Stiegal, Kendra Polewski, Jared Toaz, and Alex Matthews. Also finishing second was the relay team of Conner Whitaker, Chris McFarland, Mark Billeaud, and Ashton Klopp in the mixed 300 yard butterfly relay with a time of 2:46.46.  

The mixed 300 yard freestyle relay team consisting of Julia Snell, Taylor Christensen, Jared Toaz, and Nathan Bourne finished second with a time 2:34.74. Hanna Cederholm finished second in the women's 100 yard IM with a time 1:00.19.

The Oilers also finished second in the women 600 yard SNAARF relay with a time of 7:13.99. The relay team consisted of Kendra Polewski, Taylor Christensen, and Chris McFarland.

The men and women swimming and diving teams will be swimming again on Saturday, October 6 against Northern Michigan and Bowling Green in Bowling Green, Ohio. The meet will begin at 10:00 AM.
