Cederholm and Shevlin Earn G-MAC Athletes of the Week

Findlay, Ohio – Last week, the Oilers' swimming and diving team took on both Ohio Wesleyan and Ashland and both the men and the women earned wins in those contests. A pair of standout performances in those events have been recognized the by Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) as the league's Athletes of the Week. Sophomore diver Dalton Shevlin earned the award on the men's side while junior standout Hanna Cederholm earned the honor for the women.

Shevlin, a first team all-conference performer a year ago, began his week with a pair of wins against Ohio Wesleyan. He took first place on the 1-meter board with a season-best score of 317.78. He later won on the 3-meter board as well, earning a season-best score in that event as well with a 295.05. Shevlin then came back with a pair of wins against Ashland, taking first in the 1-meter (238.62) and the 3-meter (235.57).

Cederholm, last season's G-MAC Female Swimmer of the Year, led the Oilers' women to two wins as well. A native of Kvibille, Sweden, Cederholm earned individual wins this week in the 200-yard medley against Ashland with a 2:09.55 and a win in the 100 free against OWU with a 54.07.
