Oilers Finish Fourth in Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids, MI – The University of Findlay men and women's swimming and diving teams competed in the final day of the Calvin College Invitational on Saturday, December 1. The men and women both finished the three day competition in 4th place with 990 and 1346 points respectively.

A relay team consisting of Chris MacFarland, Hanna Cederholm, Kendra Polewski, and Amanda Stiegal finished in second place in the 200 yard medley with a final time of 1:44.26.

Kendra Polewski came in second in the 500 yard freestyle with a B-cut standard time of 5:02.58.

In the 100 yard fly, Katy Kouvaris finished in third with a time of 57.63.

Hanna Cederholm hit a B-cut standard time of 2:19.73 in the 200 yard breaststroke final, where she finished in third place.

Amanda Stiegal finished in third in the 100 yard freestyle race with a final time of 52.45.

Dalton Shevlin came in second in the 1 meter diving event with a score of 381.40. Tyler Adkins came in behind him in third with a score of 326.05.

The Oilers will be back in the pool on Friday, January 11 when they host Grand Valley State University at the Sink Natatorium at 5:00 PM.
