Bruce Named GLIAC Athlete of the Week

Freshman Michael Bruce was tabbed the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Field Athlete of the Week on Feb. 9.

Bruce took home a first place finish at Hillsdale on Feb. 7 in triple jump and also added a third place finish in the long jump. It was his first meet of the season.

Bruce won the triple jump with a meet record distance of 49'08.50. He took home the bronze in the long jump with a mark of 23'06.00. Both were NCAA provisional qualifying distances. His mark in the is also the fourth best in the nation this year.
