15 Track Members Earn All-Region Honors

USTFCCCA All-Region

The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams had 15 student-athletes honored as all-region performers as the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their postseason honors on March 2.

11 members of the UF men's team were honored for their work. Freshman Michael Bruce earned all-region honors in the long jump and triple jump, sophomore Alexander Zolotoglavyy was awarded the honor in both of those events as well, sophomore Sergi Torres was named all-region in the 400-meter and 4x400-meter relay while senior Dillon Webster earned the accolades in both the 800-meter and 4x400-meter relay.

In addition, Maliik Briggs (4x400), sophomore Derek Collins (4x400), sophomore Ben Hahler (shot put), senior Tyalor Miller (shot put), senior Demorrio Leggett (triple jump), senior Mathieu Marcoccia (shot put) and senior Justin Welch (weight throw) earned all-region honors in their respective events as well.

On the women's side, junior Lydia Guagenti earned all-region honors in both the high jump and pentathlon. Senior Taylor Ackerman (long jump), senior Kendra Averesch (shot put) and senior Pam Showman (pentathlon) also earned all-region honors for their performances.
