Marcoccia to Compete for Canada in World Games
UF senior track star Mathieu Marcoccia will be competing in the Summer Universiade for Canada. Often referred to as the World University Games, Marcoccia will take part in the shot put on July 8 in Gwangju, Korea.
Marcoccia earned All-American honors for the Oilers in the shot put during the 2015 outdoor season and also won a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championship in the event. He earned all-region honors in the shot put as well during the outdoor campaign.
