Raleigh Relays Come to a Close

The University of Findlay men and women track and field teams competed on day two of the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State University on Saturday, March 26th.  The meet featured over 2,000 competitors from over 100 institutions from all NCAA divisions.

Men Results

Senior Michael Bruce won the triple jump and met the NCAA provisional mark with a distance of 51'07.75".  This mark just missed being an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Outdoor National meet and the jump is also a new outdoor school record for Findlay.  The previous record of 51'00.25" was set in 2015 by Demorrio Leggett.

The 4x400 meter relay earned 8th after coming in at the 3:16.54 mark.

Women Results

In the 400 meter hurdles, senior Maud Sanmiquel finished 5th and met the NCAA provisional mark with a time of 1:01.67.

The 4x400 meter relay team finished 12th at the 3:53.05 mark.

The 4x100 meter relay team finished 15th with a time of 47.31.

Senior Samantha Grippe claimed 17th in the 800 meter run after finishing with a time of 2:14.39.

The track and field teams return to action on Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd as they travel to Oxford, Ohio to compete in the Miami Duals.
