Findlay Throwers Compete at ONU

The University of Findlay track and field team sent throwers to compete at the Joe Banks Invitational in Ada, Ohio at Ohio Northern University on Saturday, February 4.

Women's Throws

A pair of Oilers claimed the top two spots in the shot put. Sophomore Holly Averesch earned the gold with a toss of 13.06m and freshman Hannah Hahler captured silver with a mark of 13.01m. Hahler also competed in the weight throw and placed 5^th.

Junior Trevia Gumbs earned the top spot in the weight throw with an NCAA provisional distance of 17.78m. 

Men's Throws

Freshman Javian Martin placed 4^th in the shot put with a distance of 13.77m.

The Oilers track and field teams will be back in action on Friday, February 10 when they travel to Boston, Massachusetts for the Valentine Invitational.  Findlay will also be sending athletes to the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Friday, February 10.
