Throwers Wrap Up Last Chance Meet

Several members of the Oilers track and field team competed in Allendale, Mich. on May 13.

Alex DeVincentis captured first place in the shot put with a NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 49'11.75 while Holly Averesch also met the provisional in the event and took fourth at 47'07.75. Hannah Hahler just missed out on a provisional throw and finished seventh at 44'01.50.

DeVincentis also scored a second place finish in the discus throw with an automatic qualifying mark of 165'09 while Averesch met the provisional and took 11th at 144'06. Liz Streacker finished 13th in the event as well with a toss of 138'05.

Although Streacker missed the provisional in the discus, she scored a first place finish in the hammer throw with a provisional heave of 184'11. Erica King finished second in the event with a provisional throw of 181'00 as well.

Ben Hahler scored a second place finish in the shot put with a provisional throw of 59'04.75 and took seventh in the discus at 155'02.

Austin Combs added a sixth place finish in the hammer throw with a provisional mark of 185'10 as well.
