USTFCCCA Honors Findlay for Classroom Success

Findlay, Ohio – On Thursday, July 27, the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their All-Academic Teams for the 2016-17 academic year. The University of Findlay placed both the men's and women's teams on this list with the men recording a team grade point average of 3.31 while the women finished the year with a 3.39.

There were 191 teams honored by the USTFCCCA for their academics (115 women's, 76 men's). The women of California Baptist University maintained the highest cumulative GPA of any team in NCAA Division II, posting a GPA of 3.86. On the men's side, the highest GPA belonged to Drury University which owned a 3.46.

Individually on the men's side, Trey Everett, Kurt Grieger, Sergi Torres, Ben Hahler, George Effah and Jaye Williams were selected as scholar athletes. Liz Streacker, Hannah Hahler, Alex DeVincentis and Holly Averesch earned the honor on the women's side.
