Oilers Post Solid Marks at Jesse Owens Classic
The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field teams competed at the 2018 Jesse Owens Track Classic today in Columbus, Ohio on April 21.
Men
Senior Trey Everett earned second place in the men's high jump with a height of 2.03m (6-08.00).
In the men's triple jump sophomore Martin Etsey took second with a distance of 14.70m (48-02.75).
Senior George Effah ran a personal best of 47.78 seconds in the men's 400 meter dash to earn fourth place and break the current Great Midwest Athletic Conference record.
Everett took fifth in the men's long jump by jumping for 6.73m (22-01.00).
Women
Senior Milani Glass ran a 14.13 in women's 100 meter hurdles to earn fifth place.
In the women's 400 meter dash, sophomore Semoy Hemmings ran a 56.64 to finish 10th overall.
