Oilers Compete at GVSU Last Chance Meet

The University of Findlay men and women's outdoor track and field teams completed the Grand Valley State University Last Chance Meet on May 9 in Allendale, Mich.

On the women's side, Alex DeVincentis won the shot put with a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying heave of 14.58 meters. Hannah Hahler placed second with a provisional mark of 14.30 meters while Holly Averesch placed third with a provisional toss of 14.14 meters.

Semoy Hemmings also took eighth in the 400-meter with a time of 58.54.

On the men's side, Trey Everett placed fifth in the high jump at 1.95 meters and took 15th in the discus at 26.69 meters.

Dequan Lovell also competed in the discus and took 12th at 45.95 meters.
