Oilers Sending 5 to National Championship

Five individuals qualified from the Oilers men's and women's outdoor track and field teams have qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship, which will be held on May 24-26 in Charlotte, N.C.

Alex DeVincentis qualified in two events to lead the way. She will compete in both the shot put and discus. During the indoor season DeVincentis earned All-American honors in the shot put for Findlay and has earned All-American honors six times during her career.

Hannah Hahler, who was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Field Athlete of the Meet at the outdoor championship a few weeks ago, will compete in the shot put as well.

Milani Glass qualified for the championship in the 100-meter hurdles while Semoy Hemmings will compete in the 400-meter dash. Glass has earned three All-American honors during her career while Hemmings will be looking for her first trip to the podium.

On the men's side, Trey Everett will compete in the decathlon. He won a conference title in the event earlier this season.
