Oilers Men Ranked #7 in Preseason Poll
Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay men's track and field team is ranked in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Preseason NCAA Division II Poll which was released on Dec. 11.
The Oilers men are slated seventh in the country to begin the 2018-19 season.
Findlay totaled 79.63 points to earn their spot in the top-10. Sophomore Martin Etsey, freshman Justin Dreyling, senior George Effah, junior Lenell Shelby III, senior Austin Combs, and senior Dequan Lovell all contributed points in their respective disciplines. Combs comes back with arguably the most clout of any athlete in the conference. The Findlay, Ohio native is the reigning national champion in the weight throw and was last season's Great Midwest Field Athlete of the Year.
