Henry/Cromer Named Athletes of the Week

Findlay, Ohio - A pair of University of Findlay track and field athletes were named as Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Senior Eldred Henry participated in his first event since coming to Findlay last season. It took just two throws for Henry to reach both school and conference records in the shot put as he reached a distance of 19.44m (63'9.5"). That mark also automatically qualifies him for the national championship meet, is the best throw in the country in Division II this season by almost four feet, and is the fifth-longest throw in all NCAA divisions.

Also competing in her first year for Findlay is freshman Meadow Cromer who took first place in the pole vault. She cleared 3.42m (11' 2.5") which is the third-best height in the league this season. The mark was a new personal best for Cromer.
