Top-10 Individual Performances | #5 Austin Combs

The Oilers had another incredible year as multiple athletes and teams saw success at both the conference and national level. The UF media relations staff has put together a top-10 list of individual performances from the year and will release them throughout the summer months.

#5 | Austin Combs | Track & Field

Senior Austin Combs had another stellar season for the Oilers track and field team, winning the NCAA Division II national championship in the weight throw for the second consecutive year during indoor competition. Combs won the title with a heave of 21.22 meters.

Combs also finished as the runner-up in the hammer throw at the national meet and won a pair of Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) titles during the year. He claimed the indoor title in the weight throw at 20.59 meters and won the hammer throw during the outdoor season with a toss of 64.84 meters. He was also named all-region during both seasons and was a first team all-conference pick in both seasons as well.
