Oilers Open Outdoor Season at Cedarville

Results

The University of Findlay men and women's outdoor track and field teams kicked off their seasons on March 27 at the Yellow Jacket Open in Cedarville, Ohio.

The men were led by freshman Noah Fisher who took first place in the 5,000-meter run with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14:31.84. Freshman Jordan Foster also took 23rd in the event at 15:27.45.

Junior Dylan Hunter was 16th in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 36:38.17 while junior Will Nowak was 17th in the same event at 37:23.36.

Senior Ryan Kohout was 16th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.35 while freshman Colin Moats took 20th in the 1,500-meter run at 4:11.50.

Junior Gabrielle Lawrence led the women by taking fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:32.60. Freshman Natalie Dayharsh was 23rd in the same event at 19:06.28 while sophomore Morgan Gaskins finished 30th with a time of 19:47.05.

Freshman Maya Hamsher finished 17th in the 1,500-meter run at 4:58.78 while freshman Justine Hunt (5:01.25), and junior London Moening (5:05.39) were 21st and 28th, respectively.

Hamsher also took eighth in the 800-meter (2:25.73) while Hunt (2:26.39) was ninth.

Moening also added an 18th place finish in the 800-meter run at 2:20.79 while sophomore Meghan Donoher was 22nd at 2:31.51.
