Oilers Complete Day One of Oliver Nikoloff Invite

Results

Cincinnati, Ohio- The University of Findlay's Track and Field teams completed day one of the Oliver Nikoloff Invite, Apr. 1. The meet is hosted by the University of Cincinnati and features predominantly Division 1 programs. The women's team is currently in fourth place while the men's team is in fifth. 

The only athletes competing today for the Oilers were the men's and women's hammer throw.

Men's Results

Leading the Oilers was sophomore Zac Belanich. He finished fifth with a throw of 50.97m (167'2.00") on his third attempt. Finishing right behind Belanich was freshman Collin Warner who took sixth with a throw of 49.31m (161'9.00"). 

Women's Results

Finishing in the top spot for the Oilers was junior Paige Emnett. She finished in sixth overall with a throw of 48.52m (159'2.00"). This came on her only qualifying throw as she faulted in her other five attempts. Sophomore Kelsey Kennon finished in eighth place with a throw of 47.38m (155'5.00"). 

The Oilers will compete in the Oliver Nikoloff Invite again tomorrow, Apr. 2, as they complete the field events and begin the running events.
