Bio

Michael is entering his second season as a graduate assistant for the Oilers track and field program.

As an athlete at the University of Findlay, Bruce earned the title of all-American a total of seven times. In the 2015-16 season, Bruce earned all-American in the long jump and triple jump at the outdoor national championship meet and finished as the national runner-up in the triple jump in the indoor season. That season, he was named all-region in both outdoor and indoor, was twice named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Athlete of the Week, was a GLIAC champion in two events, and was the GLIAC Field Athlete of the Meet after the GLIAC Outdoor Championship.

In the 2014-15 season, Bruce earned all-American in the long jump and triple jump at both the outdoor and indoor national championship meets. He also was voted all-region in both events as well as earning all-GLIAC honors. He won an indoor GLIAC championship in the triple jump and was subsequently named GLIAC Freshman of the Year for the indoor season.
