Bardall Named 1st Team All-GLIAC

Junior guard Laura Bardall was named First Team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) on Friday, March 4 as the league office released their annual postseason awards.

Lake Superior State University's Emily Joseph was tabbed the Player of the Year while Michigan Technological University's Kim Cameron snagged Coach of the Year honors. Northwood University's Brittany Gibson was selected as the top freshman as well.

Bardall, a two-time, second team all-conference pick as well, averaged 14.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game for the Oilers during the 2010-11 campaign.

The Sugarcreek, Ohio native has racked up 1,262 career points, the eighth best total in school history.

In addition, junior guard Clare Aubry was named second team all-conference for the Oilers as well.

Aubry averaged 15.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game during her innagural season with the Oilers after transferring from the University of Toledo.

The Upper Sandusky, Ohio native also led the team with 58 three pointers, the fourth best single season mark in school history, and hit 81.5 percent (88-of-108) of her shots from the free throw line.
