Oilers Thump Lake Erie 67-48

The University of Findlay women's basketball team defeated Lake Erie College by a score of 67-48 on Thursday, January 13 in Croy Gymnasium. The victory gives the Oilers a 10-3 record on the season with a 6-1 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers held the Storm to a mere 20.8 percent (15-of-72) shooting clip and out-rebounded them by a 49-43 margin. Findlay did however give up 22 offensive rebounds in the win.

Junior guard Clare Aubry led the team with 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting while freshman guard Saira House stuffed the stat sheet with a career-high 13 points, six assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block.

Junior guard Laura Bardall added 11 points, a career-high 11 rebounds and four assists while sophomore forward Tai Dotson contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.

Junior forward Kaitlyn Nelson also had a good game for the Oilers, scoring seven points to go along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Lake Erie was led by Stephanie Rogers' 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they host Wayne State University at 3 pm in Croy Gymnasium.
