Oilers Claim 58-42 Win Over Notre Dame (OH)

The University of Findlay women's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 58-42 win over Notre Dame (Ohio) College on Wednesday, November 16 in Croy Gymnasium.

The Oilers claimed a 25-24 advantage at the half, but held Notre Dame to only 18 points in the second half en route to the victory.

Findlay shot 40.8 percent (20-of-49) from the field and connected on 7-of-19 (36.8%) of their shots from behind the three point line.

Notre Dame managed only a 33.3 percent (18-of-54) shooting clip and turned the ball over 26 times during the contest.

Junior forward Kayla Brown led the team with 15 points and seven rebounds while senior guard Clare Aubry contributed 13 points and four boards.

Sophomore guard Kaleigh Kenny registered nine points and five rebounds while senior guard Kendra Elam and freshman forward Lacey Kessler had five points apiece.

Lauren Macer scored a game-high 19 points for Notre Dame.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they host Tusculum College at 1 pm in Croy Gymnasium.
