Oilers Fly Past Cardinals 76-50

The University of Findlay women's basketball team came away with a 76-50 win over Saginaw Valley State University on Saturday, December 10 in Croy Gymnasium.

The Oilers built a 39-20 lead at the break and then cruised through the second half as they improved to 5-2 on the season with a 2-1 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers forced the Cardinals into 27 turnovers during the game, which led to 32 points for Findlay.  They also shot 50.9 percent (29-of-57) from the field and held the Cardinals to a mere 29.8 percent (14-of-47) shooting clip.

Senior guard Clare Aubry hit 7-of-14 shots en route to a team-high 15 points while junior forward Kayla Brown contributed 14 points and six rebounds.

Sophomore guard Karli Beasley came off the bench to score a career-high 11 points while junior forward Tai Dotson chipped in a season-high nine points to go along with three boards.

Kristen Greene paced the Cardinals with a game-high 17 points.

The Oilers return to the court next Thursday (Dec. 15) and will host Tiffin University at 6 pm.
