Oilers Cruise to 78-56 Win Over Panthers

The University of Findlay women's basketball team cruised to a 78-56 win over Ohio Dominican University on Saturday, December 17 in Croy Gymnasium.  The victory gives the Oilers a 6-3 record on the season with a 3-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers shot 47.4 percent (27-of-57) from the field and drilled 9-of-21 (42.9%) of their three point attempts in the game.  They also forced the Panthers into 29 turnovers, which led to 24 points for Findlay.

The Oilers stellar defensive effort also netted them a season-high 18 steals as they held Ohio Dominican to a mere 38.3 percent (18-of-47) shooting clip.

Junior forward Kayla Brown led the team with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting.  She also tallied five rebounds and drilled 4-of-6 shots from behind the three point line.

Senior guard Clare Aubry chipped in 15 points while sophomore guard Saira House stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, seven steals and six assists.

Sophomore guard Kaleigh Kenny also tallied nine points while freshman forward Lacey Kessler and red-shirt freshman forward Carlay Stahl contributed seven and six points, respectively, off the bench.

Abby Glover recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Panthers.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Monday when they travel to Cedarville, Ohio to take on Cedarville University at 6 pm.
