Brown Leads Oilers to 90-65 Win Over Falcons

The University of Findlay women's basketball team came away with a 90-65 win over Notre Dame College on Wednesday, Nov. 21 in South Euclid, Ohio to give them a 2-0 record on the season.

The Oilers were paced by senior forward Kayla Brown, who poured in a career-high 29 points on 11-of-18 shooting.  Brown also drilled 5-of-9 shot attempts from behind the three point line and added five steals, three rebounds and three assists.

Senior forward Tai Dotson also reached double figures with 12 points and five rebounds while freshman forward Kelsey Lewis contributed nine points and four boards.

Freshman forward Margaret Wuebker had a good all-around game with eight points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals while junior guard Ashley Andrews, sophomore forward Lacey Kessler and sophomore guard Kristin Klausing recorded six points apiece.

The Oilers shot 54.9 percent (28-of-51) from the floor and drained 9-of-20 (45%) three point attempts in the win.  They also recorded 14 steals and held a 40-29 advantage on the boards.

Lauren Macer led the Falcons with 16 points in a losing effort.

The Oilers will be back at home on Thursday, Nov. 29 to host Lake Superior State University in their first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) contest of the season at 8 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
