Oilers Claim 68-64 Win at Walsh

The University of Findlay women's basketball team outlasted Walsh University on Thursday, Jan. 24 as they claimed a 68-64 win over the Cavaliers in North Canton, Ohio.

The Oilers, who improved to 13-4 on the season with a 10-3 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), shot 46.6 percent (27-of-58) from the field and grabbed 17 offensive rebounds in the win.  The second chance opportunities led to 20 points for the Oilers.

Senior forward Tai Dotson led the team with a career-high 20 points, making 10-of-11 shots from the floor.

Senior forward Kayla Brown added 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting while junior forward Kaleigh Kenny had a career-high 12 points and a season-high eight rebounds off the bench.

Walsh shot 41.1 percent (23-of-56) from the floor and received 20 points and nine boards from Maggie Berry in the game. 

The Oilers will return home to host Malone University on Saturday, Jan. 26.  The contest is scheduled to tip at 4 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
