Bonar Named GLIAC Player of the Week

Sophomore guard Karli Bonar was tabbed the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Jan. 19.

Bonar led the Oilers to a 2-0 record last week by averaging 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in wins over Ohio Dominican (1/15) and Tiffin (1/17).

In the Oilers 70-57 win at Ohio Dominican, Bonar posted 18 points. She scored ten points for the Oilers in the game during their big 22-0 run, which put the game away late in the second half. Bonar then put up 17 points in only 16 minutes of action in Findlay's 99-80 win over Tiffin in Croy Gymnasium.

The Shadyside, Ohio native is averaging a team-high 11.3 points per game this season. She leads the GLIAC in three point shooting percentage (50.6%) and ranks fourth in the league in three pointers made per game (2.8).
