Series Information

The Oilers hold a 19-18 advantage in the all-time series against Wayne State dating back to the 1990-91 campaign when they came out on the winning end by a score of 57-48.

The Warriors came away with a 93-70 win over the Oilers earlier this season in Detroit. The Oilers trailed by only two points at the half, but were out-scored by a 54-33 margin in the final period.

The Oilers shot a mere 30.2 percent (19-of-63) from the floor while the Warriors hit a blistering 61 percent (35-of-59) of their field goal tries. Findlay forced 22 turnovers in the game, but the Warriors had it dialed in from long distance, hitting 11-of-15 (73.3%) tries from three point land.

Ciara Geiger paced the Oilers with 17 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Lacey Kessler came off the bench to provide 14 points and five rebounds while Kelsey Lewis also reached double figures with ten points to go along with five boards.

Findlay

The Oilers came away with a 78-70 win over Malone last Saturday to give them a 15-10 record on the season.

The Oilers, who built a 40-33 lead when the first half buzzer sounded, found themselves up only one point at 67-66 with 3:41 to play in the game. Margaret Wuebker then made a pair of shots from the free throw line, which was followed by a split at the charity stripe by Kristin Klausing.

Leading by four at 70-66, Malone split a pair at that line before Findlay went on a mini 6-0 run to give them a 76-67 advantage with only 16 ticks left. The run was fueled by a three pointer from Ciara Geiger and free throws by Wuebker and Nikki Gunning. Malone then hit a three with only nine seconds to play, but Haley Horstman closed the game out at the free throw line to improve the Oilers record to 15-10 on the year.

The Oilers shot 49.1 percent (27-of-55) from the floor and canned 10-of-21 (47.6%) tries from three point range in the game. They also forced 17 turnovers and held a 28-11 advantage in points off the bench.

Geiger led the way with 20 points and seven rebounds while Gunning came off the bench to provide 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Karli Bonar recorded 12 points, hitting 4-of-7 attempts from three point range. Her four makes gives her 69 on the season, which breaks the school record for most made three pointers in a year. The previous record of 68 was set by Maggie Gompers during the 2008-09 campaign.
