#17 Warriors Defeat Oilers 70-52

The University of Findlay women's basketball dropped their season finale by a score of 70-52 against 17th-ranked Wayne State University on Feb. 26 in Croy Gymnasium.

The Oilers fell behind by a 17-1 margin in the opening four minutes of the contest and never recovered as they end their season with a 15-11 record.

Findlay connected on only 30.8 percent (16-of-52) of their shot attempts in the game and were out-rebounded by a 54-30 margin. They also hit on only 7-of-25 (28%) attempts from behind the three point line in the game.

Senior guard Ciara Geiger capped her career with 15 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks while junior forward Margaret Wuebker came off the bench to provide nine points and two boards.

Sophomore guard Karli Bonar added six points while senior guard Nikki Gunning had five. Senior guard Kristin Klausing chipped in four points, three rebounds and two rebounds while senior forward Lacey Kessler contributed a rebound and a steal in the game.

The Warriors were led by Shareta Brown's 30 points and 15 rebounds.
