Oilers Win Exhibition Game 84-59

The University of Findlay women's basketball team won 84-59 against Otterbein University in an exhibition game on Nov. 1 in Croy Gymnasium.

The Oilers shot 42.9 percent (27-of-63) from the floor and forced 29 turnovers in the victory. They were led by junior guard Karli Bonar, who scored 17 points on the strength of a 5-of-11 showing from behind the three point line.

Senior forward Margaret Wuebker had a good all-around game for the Oilers as she finished with 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals as well. Senior forward Kelsey Lewis and sophomore guard Lynsey Englebrecht also reached double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Freshman center Christa Puthoff provided seven points and eight rebounds while freshman guard Jenna Stegmaier and freshman forward Dana Fricke also contributed seven points apiece off the bench.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Nov. 7 with an exhibition game at Toledo. The game is scheduled to tip at 12pm.
