Rockets Use Big 2nd Half to Defeat Oilers

The University of Findlay women's basketball team lost 82-51 against the University of Toledo in an exhibition game on Nov. 7 in Savage Arena.

The Oilers trailed by a score of 34-26 at the half, but the Rockets out-scored Findlay by a 48-25 margin in the final period.

Freshman Dana Fricke led the Oilers with 9 points and 4 rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench. Junior Karli Bonar added 8 points while sophomores Haley Horstman and Emily Molnar scored 7 points apiece. Horstman also contributed 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss.

Brenae Harris led the Rockets with 18 points.

The Oilers will open their season on Nov. 13-14 in Nashville, Tenn. The Oilers will play Trevecca Nazarene on Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. and then face Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 14 at 4 p.m.
