Series Information

Thursday will be the 40th meeting between the Oilers and Warriors with the first game being played in the 1990-91 season. Findlay won that game 57-48. The Oilers hold a 20-19 advantage in the all-time series. The 87-80 Findlay win earlier this season was the first against Wayne State since the 2012-13 season in the second round of the GLIAC tournament and was the beginning of a six-game skid for WSU.

In that Feb. 1 victory over the Warriors, senior Margaret Wuebker scored her 1,000th career point and had one of her best performances as an Oilers' player. She scored a career-high 25 points, had seven rebounds, and dished out two assists.

Sophomore Haley Horstman also played well as she scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds while freshman Anna Hintz continued her strong play with 12 points and five rebounds. The final player to score in double-figures was junior Karli Bonar who hit four threes to finish the game with 12 points.

Wayne State received a noteworthy performance as well as guard Brittany Streetman led the way scoring half of the team's points. She finished the game with 40 points on a 15-of-24 shooting from the floor.

Findlay

The Oilers enter the game with a 15-12 mark overall and a 10-11 record in GLIAC play.

Sophomore Haley Horstman is doing the bulk of the scoring for Findlay as she is scoring 12.2 points per contest while shooting 50.4% from the floor.

Senior Margaret Wuebker has improved her scoring over the course of the season and has her average up to 11.9 points per game. She is averaging 14.3 points per game over the last nine games and will be playing her last game as an Oiler.

Junior Karli Bonar is also in double figures as she scoring 10.1 points per game. In the Feb. 18 game against Walsh, Bonar made her 72nd three pointer of the season, breaking her own UF record of 71 that she set last season. Sophomore

Lynsey Englebrecht is shooting the lights out as she is knocking in 54.5% of her tries from behind the arc. She is scoring 6.4 points per contest.

Wayne State

The Warriors enter the week with an 11-16 record overall and a 6-15 mark in GLIAC play. They are currently in fifth place in the GLIAC South.

In their last game, Wayne State hosted GLIAC tournament bound Walsh University and came away with a 79-75 victory. The win was a true team effort as four players scored in double-figures for the Green and Gold. They were led by Shannon Wilson who scored 21 points and had five assists. The other leading scorers were Kristen Long (15), Brittany Streetman (11), and Payton Birchmeier (10).

Wilson, a sophomore, is the team's leading scorer at 13.6 points per game, leads with 3.3 assists per game, and is second on the team with 4.1 rebounds per game. Streetman, a senior playing in her final game at WSU, is scoring 13.0 per game while senior Ashley Wilson is netting 11.7 per game. Wilson is the leading rebounder with 6.1 per contest.

The Warriors are top five in the GLIAC in shots taken per game (63.2 / 2nd) and shots made per game (26.5 / 4th) and are also top five in rebounding at 39 per game (4th).

Roster
Statistics

Moving On Up: Senior forward Margaret Wuebker became the Oilers 20th member of the 1,000-point club on Feb. 1 when she poured in 25 points in Findlay's 87-80 win against Wayne State. Wuebker ranks 16th all-time at UF with 1,082 career points. She is chasing Monica Higgins who scored 1,083 points from 1984-1987 and Susan Deeds who scored 1,099 points from 1985-1988.

Bombs Away: Junior guard Karli Bonar has made 205 career three pointers at Findlay, the third best mark in school history. She is chasing former UF star Maggie Gompers for second place on the all-time list. Gompers canned 206 three pointers for the Oilers from 2007-10.

Bonar has made four or more threes in eight of the Oilers games this season. Her season high was Jan. 21 vs. Ashland when she nailed six from deep. This season, Bonar has connected on 74 shots from deep and with each three, increases her record at The University of Findlay.

Stroking 3's: The Oilers are hitting 37.9 percent of their three point tries this season, the best percentage in the GLIAC and the 17th best percentage in the nation.

They have been led by sophomore guard Lynsey Englebrecht, who is hitting 54.5 percent of her long range attempts. The percentage is the best mark in the GLIAC and would be the best in the nation, however her 1.6 made threes per game are not enough to qualify her for the statistic (must have 2.0 made threes per game). The UF record is 51.0% set in 1995-96 by Jill Muhlenkamp. The GLIAC record for three point percentage in a season is 56.9% set in 2010-11 by Michigan Tech's Angela Guisfredi.

Karli Bonar is ninth in the league as she is hitting on 39.4 percent of her tries from deep. That is 37th in the country.
