Women's Basketball Earns Top-25 Academic Honor Roll Award

The University of Findlay women's basketball team finished in a tie for fifth-best among all NCAA Division II programs with a 3.672 cumulative grade point average during the 2015-16 campaign. Their hard work in the classroom enabled them to earn a spot on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top-25 Academic Honor Roll.

Upper Iowa achieved the highest grade point average among NCAA Division II programs with a 3.731 GPA. They were followed by Ohio Dominican (3.720), Seton Hill (3.711) and Minnesota State-Mankato (3.675).  The Oilers then finished in a tie for fifth with fellow Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) program, Northwood.

Overall, the GLIAC had six schools among the top-25. Ohio Dominican (2nd), Northwood (5th), Findlay (5th), Michigan Tech (9th), Ashland (14th) and Lake Erie (25th).
