Oilers Open Season at GLVC/GLIAC Crossover
The Oilers will travel to Indianapolis, Ind. for a pair of regional games at the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover to open the season. They will play Indianapolis on Nov. 11 before battling 20th-ranked Lewis on Nov. 13.

Series Information
The Oilers trail by a margin of 7-1 in the all-time series against Indianapolis dating back to the 1998-99 campaign when the Greyhounds secured a 62-54 victory.
The two programs last met during the 2007-08 season. Indianapolis won that contest by a score of 82-67. Audra Mihalic, Jessica Vorst and Ashley Westenbarger each scored ten points apiece in the game to lead the Oilers.
Findlay's lone win against the Greyhounds came during the 2005-06 season. In that season, the Oilers secured a 77-72 win behind 20 points from Michelle Vorst.
Nanette Cox and Carrie Bergman added 11 points apiece in the win while Brittany Wells contributed ten points, ten assists and three steals.
Findlay's other contest at Indianapolis will be against Lewis. The two programs have never met before on the hardwood.
Findlay
The Oilers were picked to finish third during the 2016-17 campaign in the GLIAC South Division as the league office unveiled their annual preseason poll on Oct. 27.
The Oilers received 25 points in the poll to tie Ohio Dominican for third place. Ashland was picked as the favorite in the South and were followed by Walsh in the poll.
Junior guard Haley Horstman was picked as a preseason all-conference performer for the Oilers. Horstman returns to the Oilers after averaging 11.9 points per game during the 2015-16 campaign.
Horstman shot 49.8 percent from the floor and also grabbed 4.1 rebounds per contest. The New Knoxville, Ohio native chipped in 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
Indianapolis
Indianapolis completed the 2015-16 campaign with a 10-20 overall record. Nicole Anderson returns to lead the team after averaging 13.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest for the Greyhounds last season.
Sarah Costello is also back after averaging 10.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last year.
#20 Lewis
The Flyers finished last season ranked 15th in the nation with a 28-3 record. Jessica Keliher is back to lead the team after averaging 18.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game during the 2015-16 campaign.
Jamie Johnson also returns to the team after appearing in only six games last year due to injury. She averaged 22.2 points, 4.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds per contest in those games.
Lewis is ranked 20th to begin the season in the preseason NCAA Division II poll.
Bombs Away
Junior guard Karli Bonar has made 206 career three pointers at Findlay, tied for the second best mark in school history. She is currently tied with Maggie Gompers, who canned 206 triples for the Oilers from 2007-10.
Former Findlay sharpshooter Trisha Lauck holds the record for most made three pointers in a career. She made 232 three pointers for the Oilers from 1996-99.
In high school, Bonar set Ohio state records for most three pointers made in a season (110) and most made triples in a career (350)
