Puthoff Earns GLIAC South Player of the Week Honors

Sophomore center Christa Puthoff was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Feb. 6.

Puthoff earned the honor by leading the Oilers to a pair of wins last week against Walsh (Jan. 30) and Hillsdale (Feb. 2). In the two victories, Puthoff averaged 16.5 points 6.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest. She also shot 65 percent (13-of-20) from the floor.

In the Oilers 76-73 win in overtime against Walsh, Puthoff had 18 points and seven rebounds. She then followed with 15 points and six boards in Findlay's 70-63 win against Hillsdale.

The Versailles, Ohio native is averaging a team-high 9.8 points per game for the Oilers this season. She is shooting 54 percent from the floor and also contributing 5.1 rebounds per contest.
