The Oilers will be at home for the first time this season on Nov. 7 for an exhibition game against Alma. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6 pm in Croy Gymnasium.

Series Information

The Oilers have a 0-2 record against Alma in their all-time series and will be playing them for the first time since the 1986-87 campaign.

Alma won the first meeting between the two programs by a score of 71-59 during the 1985-86 season.

Findlay

The Oilers were picked to finish third in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this season. The Oilers received 101 points and two first place votes in the poll. They trailed Ursuline, who was picked to win the conference with 115 points and two first place votes, and Cedarville, who had 109 points and a league-high three first place votes.

The Oilers return their top four scorers from last season and are led by senior guard Haley Horstman, who averaged 9.6 points per game. Junior center Christa Puthoff (9.4), senior guard Lynsey Englebrecht (9.1) and junior forward Anna Hintz (8.4) are also returning to help the Oilers put points on the board.

Alma

Alma finished the 2016-17 campaign with an 8-17 record. Abbigale Phillipson is their top scorer returning to the team. She averaged 5.1 points per game last year.

Alma had an exhibition game against Mid-Michigan Community College on Nov. 2 and won that contest by a score of 73-51.

Chloee King led Alma with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Madeline Barnauskas had 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting.

Madison Hill also reached double figures with ten points and contributed four steals in the win.
