Series Information

Ohio Dominican: Findlay holds a 16-8 advantage against ODU in a series that dates back to the 1991-92 season. That first game was a matchup in the NAIA District 22 Playoffs, a game that the Panthers won 77-69. The Oilers dominated the series early on, winning nine straight games from 1994-97 & 2010 and winning 13 of the first 15 contests (1991-2013). Since the 2012-13 season, the Panthers hold the edge as they have won six of the previous eight contests.

The two teams split their games last season as ODU won the matchup in Croy by a score of 82-51 and Findlay taking revenge three weeks later in Columbus with a 62-53 final. In the win, Haley Horstman led Findlay with 18 points while Elissa Ellerbrock scored 12 and grabbed four rebounds, had two assists, and two steals.

Cedarville: Findlay holds a 23-7 lead in the series with Cedarville with the first game being played in 1982-83. The Oilers won that game 83-78, but later lost to the Jackets 73-70 in the first round of the WBCC Tournament.

The two teams have not met since 2011-12, a matchup that took place in Cedarville, Ohio. Findlay won that game 72-66 and was led in scoring by Kayla Brown who dropped 20 points on 7-of-9 from the floor.  She also had five steals and grabbed four rebounds. Carlay Stahl came off the bench and contributed 15 points on the strength of 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. Kaleigh Kenny was the leading rebounder with six boards. She also scored eight points in the win.

Findlay (7-1, 4-0 G-MAC)

The Oilers are off to their second 7-1 start in the last three seasons and have won seven consecutive games after dropping their season opener. They will be looking to win their eighth and ninth consecutive games which would be the most since the 2012-13 season when Findlay rattled off 13-straight wins.

Findlay is led offensively by a trio of players scoring more than 13ppg. Junior Anna Hintz, who has recorded nine double-doubles in her career, has been as consistent as any player in the conference. She is scoring 16.8 points per game and is grabbing 8.3 rebounds per game while shooting 58% from the floor. She has made at least four field goals in every game this season.

Seniors Haley Horstman and Lynsey Englebrecht have also been vital to the Oilers' early season success. Horstman is pouring in 15.0 ppg while grabbing 4.0 rpg and dishing out 2.9 assists per game while Englebrecht, who is making 3.5 threes per game (eighth in the country), is scoring 13.3 ppg and shooting a deadly 48.3% from deep.

As a team, Findlay shoots the three as well as any team in the country, making 42.9% of their shots from deep which is third in the nation. Their field-goal percentage of 50.1% is also third in the country.

Despite being such a deadly team from deep, the Oilers have not taken more three-point shots than their opponent in any game this season which is a tribute to their improved defense. Findlay is allowing teams to shoot just 33.8% from the floor this year, 16th in the country in that statistic, and are giving up just 32.3 rebounds per game, the second-best mark in the conferece.
