Series Information

The Oilers and Chargers had faced off 41 times with Findlay holding a slight 21-20 advantage in those games. The two teams first met in the 1985-86 season, a game which the Oilers won 74-47.

Last season, Hillsdale and Findlay split the two games of their season series with each team successfully defending their home court. Hillsdale played host on Jan. 12 and came away with a 73-56 victory. Then on Feb. 2, Findlay got revenge in Croy as they earned a 70-63 win.

Anna Hintz averaged 11.5 ppg and 7 reb in those two contests. Her best game came in Michigan where she scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Haley Horstman also scored double-figures in both matchups as she led the team with 13 points in Hillsdale and later scored 11 points at home.

Findlay (13-2, 10-1 G-MAC)

Despite losing their first league game of the season on January 4, the Oilers remain atop the G-MAC standings at 10-1 and have the best record through 15 games in the NCAA Division II era of the program.

As the top scoring team in the league at 79.6 ppg, the Oilers have been relying on the play of junior Anna Hintz who is third in the conference at 18.9 ppg. Hintz also ranks fifth in the conference in rebounds at 8.1 per game and is the fourth in the conference in free-throw percentage at 85.1%.

Findlay's two other double-digit scorers are seniors Lynsey Englebrecht and Haley Horstman who are contributing 14.5 and 13.3 ppg, respectively. Englebrecht, who is fourth all-time at Findlay for made threes, is draining 3.8 shots from deep this season, the most in the nation.

Junior Jenna Stegmaier is also stuffing the stat sheet this year with 8.9 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game.

Hillsdale (8-6, 6-4 G-MAC)

The Chargers have struggled to find consistent play this season but have shown they have the talent to compete with any team in the league. That can be summarized with their previous two games. On Jan. 4, Hillsdale traveled to seventh place Lake Erie College and lost by seven points. The next day, the Chragers went on the road and won by 16 points against first place and conference unbeaten Ursuline.

Grabbing 46.7 rebounds per game, Hillsdale is ranked eighth in the country in that statistic. One of the best rebounding teams in the country, the Chargers' rebounding margin of +11.6 is third in the nation.

They are led on the boards by their senior center Allie Dittmer. She is grabbing 10.4 rebounds per game to go along 13.7 points per game. Leading the team in scoring is junior Makenna Ott who is contributing 14.6 ppg. She is shooting 47.1% from the floor.

Junior Brittany Gray and junior Allie Dewire are both in double-figures at 13.6 and 12.5 points per game, respectively. Grey is the team's leading three-point shooting and is making 2.6 triples per contest while shooting 40.6% from deep.
