Findlay Slips One Spot in Regional Rankings

Regional Rankings

Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay women's basketball team fell one spot in the second installment of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings which were released on Feb. 21. The Oilers now hold the tenth and final spot in the rankings. The top eight teams in the region will qualify for the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional, which is set to take place on March 9-12. The top team in the rankings will earn the right to host the first three rounds of tournament play.

The Oilers are looking to qualify for the NCAA tournament for the third time in program history and the first since the 2012-13 season. That season Findlay make it to the Sweet 16 before falling to the top-seeded Ashland Eagles in the Midwest Regional final. 2009-10 was the only other time the Oilers made it into the NCAA tournament. That year Findlay made it to the second round of action.
