The University of Findlay women's basketball team cruised to a 69-50 win over Malone University on Dec. 8 in Croy Gymnasium. The victory gives the Oilers a 4-2 record on the season with a 2-2 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
Senior forward Anna Hintz led the way for Findlay with a game-high 18 points and ten rebounds, her fourth double-double of the season.
Senior guard Allie Thobe also reached double figures with ten points while senior guard Elissa Ellerbrock stuffed the stat sheet, finishing with six points, a career-high eight assists, and seven rebounds. She also had four steals in the win.
Senior guard Jaclyn Heath and senior center Christa Puthoff added six points apiece as well.
As a team, the Oilers shot 40.6 percent (28-of-69) from the floor and held a 46-38 advantage on the boards. They also limited the Pioneers to a 30.5 percent (18-of-59) shooting clip in the victory.
The Oilers will return to the hardwood again on Dec. 13 when they host Ursuline at 5:30 p.m.
