Series Information

Ohio Dominican: One of the more storied rivalries in the league, Findlay and Ohio Dominican have squared off 27 times including their initial meeting in 1991-92, an NAIA District 22 Playoff game that the Panthers won 77-69. The Oilers hold a 19-8 advantage in the series and have won four straight against ODU. Since Jim Wiedie took over the head position, Findlay is 5-6 against ODU.

Last season, the Oilers took down the Panthers three times. Findlay won in Columbus by 13 and then defended Croy, winning 92-88 in overtime. The two teams again met in the first round of the G-MAC Tournament, a game Findlay won 100-87. In those three games, Anna Hintz averaged 20 ppg and 9 reb.

Ohio Valley: OVU and Findlay have met five times including their first matchup in the 1998-99 season, a game Findlay won 71-63. The Oilers have won all five contests.

Last season was all Oilers as Findlay combined to outscore the Fighting Scots 165-106 in their two meetings. In their game in Croy, Lynsey Englebrecht dominated to the tune of 29 points on a school-record eight made triples. Anna Hintz contributed 25 points and 12 rebounds while Haley Horstman had 14 points, six assists, four rebounds, and four steals.

Findlay (10-3, 6-2 G-MAC)

Findlay has matched their longest winning streak of the year at four straight as they head into the middle of January. The Oilers are coming off of two league wins in West Virginia where they handled their business against Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus.

Senior Anna Hintz is playing some stellar basketball this season, scoring 18.8 points per game, second in the league, and grabbing 8.8 rebounds per game, first in the league, while shooting a league-leading 53% from the floor. Hintz is 27 points shy of cracking the top ten scoring list at Findlay, chasing Julie Flowers who is currently tenth after scoring 1,239 points from 1986-89.

Senior Elissa Ellerbrock is second on the team at 10.2 ppg and is grabbing 5.1 rebounds while senior Allie Thobe is scoring 7.3 ppg and 3.5 assists per game. Findlay has been stellar defensively this season, allowing just 59 points per game, the only school in the league to allow less than 60 ppg.

Ohio Dominican (7-6, 4-3 G-MAC)

The Panthers were a sub-500 team just four seasons ago as they turned in five straight losing seasons from 2010-2015. Since that time, ODU has turned the table, rattling off  three consecutive winning seasons including a 20-win year in 2015-16.

This season, the Panthers are hovering around that .500 mark at 7-6 and have been up and down all season.  ODU has not won or lost more than two games in a row this year and are coming off of a 24-point win against Ohio Valley.

Sophomore Angela Troyer junior Alexa Fisher and are the two biggest threats in the Panthers lineup scoring 15.7 and 14.0 ppg, respectively. They also eat up the most minutes on the team, each playing an average of 34 minutes per game. Troyer is also the team's leading rebounder at 5.9/game. Freshman Ali Kern, sophomore Taylor Harazin, and sophomore Olivia Fox all average more than 5 reb/game.

Ohio Valley (0-11, 0-7 G-MAC)

You'd be hard pressed to find a team in the country that has struggled more than Ohio Valley as of late. The Fighting Scots are off to an 0-11 start this year and, after a winless 2017-18 season, OVU is currently riding a 45-game losing streak. Their last win came on Jan. 24, 2017, a 79-55 victory against Penn State Beaver. OVU's last league victory came on Feb. 27, 2016, a 69-65 victory against Trevecca Nazarene. Since then, the Scots have lost 43 consecutive league games.

Junior Brittany Hill is the team's leader in ppg at 10.1 and is coming off a season-best 24 points against Ohio Dominican. In that game, Hill made 8-of-18 from the floor including 5-of-9 from deep. After Hill, junior Akiya Brown is scoring 8.7 ppg and scored 14 against ODU last Saturday. Brown scored a season-best 21 points against D&E on Dec. 15.

Senior Ariel Johnson is the team's leading rebounder at 5.8 reb/game.
