Oilers Fall at Miami in Exhibition Contest

The University of Findlay women's basketball team fell 96-50 to Miami (Ohio) on Oct. 31 in an exhibition game in Oxford, Ohio.

The Oilers fell behind by a score of 41-32 at the half and then were outscored 55-18 in the second half. Findlay was only able to connect on 31.7 percent (19-of-60) of their field goal attempts and made only 1-of-14 (7.1%) of their three point tries. The Red Hawks also forced the Oilers into 30 turnovers and held a 59-36 advantage on the glass.

Sophomore forward Sydney Kin led the Oilers with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting. She also added six rebounds and a steal.

Sophomore guard Lilly Simon came off the bench to provide eight points while sophomore guard Amber Schweiger and junior guard Madison Stolly had six and five points, respectively.

Peyton Scott led Miami with 16 points while Lauren Dickerson had 12 points and ten rebounds.

The Oilers will now prepare for their final exhibition game on Saturday against Toledo. The game is scheduled to tip at noon.
