Oilers Currently in 3rd at GLIAC Championship
The University of Findlay women's golf team played the first 36 holes of the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship on Monday, April 23 in Midland, Mich. The Oilers fired a 326 in the opening round and then came back with a 327 in the second to end the day in third place with a score of 653.
Individually, Lauren Vogt is tied for third place after carding a 159 (81, 78) while Ashley Gubser is tied for fifth after posting a 161 (80, 81).
Michele Schambs is tied for 14th with a 82, 86 – 168) while Trelyn Gerlinger (90, 82 – 172) and Brooke Albers (83, 90 – 173) are 20th and 23rd, respectively, at the event.
The final 18 holes of the tournament will be played tomorrow beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Midland Country Club.
