Gubser, Vogt Named 1st Team All-GLIAC

Senior Ashley Gubser and junior Lauren Vogt of The University of Findlay women's golf team earned first team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) as the league office announced their yearly awards on Sunday, April 29.

Both Gubser, who has been a two-time, second team all-conference pick, and Vogt finished third at the 2012 GLIAC Championship last week in Midland, Mich.

In addition, freshman Michele Schambs earned second team all-league honors while sophomore Brooke Albers was tabbed honorable mention all-GLIAC.

Both players played well at the GLIAC Championship, tying for 18th at the event.

*All-GLIAC selections are based on a player's stroke average in their nine best rounds in league play, including the conference tournament.
