Oilers in 6th at NCAA Regional
The University of Findlay women's golf team finished the first round of competition at the NCAA Division II Super Region 1 Tournament, carding a 319 at the Findlay Country Club on Sunday, May 6.
Ashland and Indianapolis are sharing the lead as both programs finished the opening round of the tournament with scores of 300 while the Oilers are currently residing sixth.
Individually, sophomore Brooke Albers and freshman Michele Schambs each had a stellar day for Findlay.
Albers shot a one-over par score of 73 and is currently in sixth place while Schambs turned in a three-over par score of 75 and is tied for tenth at the event.
Junior Lauren Vogt added an 84 while seniors Ashley Gubser and Trelyn Gerlinger fired an 87 and 91, respectively.
The event will continue tomorrow and conclude on Tuesday.
