Albers Ties for 44th at National Championship

Sophomore Brooke Albers ended the 2012 NCAA Division II National Championship in a tie for 44th place after carding an 83 in the final round of competition, which took place on Saturday, May 19 at the Persimmon Ridge Golf Course in Louisville, Ky.

Albers finished the tournament with a 72-hole score of 334.

The Ft. Loramie, Ohio native shot an 86 in the opening round, came back with an 85 in the second round and then fired an 80 in the third round before her 83 on Saturday.

70 golfers took part in the event as Nova Southeastern claimed the team title with a score of 1,234. 

Individually, Abbey Gittings of Nova Southeastern won the event with a score of 298.
