Vogt, Petty Pace Oilers to 3rd Place Finish at Indy Fall Classic

The University of Findlay women's golf team took third place at the University of Indianapolis Fall Invitational, which concluded on Monday, Sep. 24 at the Heartland Crossing Golf Links in Camby, Ind.

The Oilers shot a two-round score of 628 (316, 312) at the event and were paced by Lauren Vogt and Kasey Petty, who each tied for fourth place with a score of 153.

Vogt shot a 75 in the opening round and then came back with a 78 in the second for her total while Petty carded a 77 on Sunday and a 76 on Monday as both players earned spots on the all-tournament team.

Brooke Albers tied for 15th with a 160 (81, 79) while Michele Schambs took 21st place after firing a 162 (83, 79).

Hannah Schneider (86, 94 - 180) and Emily Mock (94, 99 - 193) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Sep. 29-30 at the Grand Valley State Invitational in Allendale, Mich.
