Women's Golf Places 10th in BG

The University of Findlay women's golf team completed the Bowling Green State University Delores Black Invitational on Sunday, April 14 at the Stone Ridge Golf Course in Bowling Green, Ohio.

The Oilers finished the event in tenth place with a two-round score of 653 (337, 316).

Brooke Albers and Michele Schambs tied for 21st to lead the team. 

Albers shot an 80 in the opening round and then came back with an 81 in the second to give her a 161 for the tournament.

Schambs meanwhile recorded an 87 on Saturday before coming back with a two-over par score of 74 on Sunday for her 161.

Lauren Vogt (85, 78 – 163), Kasey Petty (85, 83 – 168), Emily Mock (94, 88 – 182) and Hannah Schneider (86, 87 – 183) also were competing for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 20-21 at the Northwood Invitational.  The event is scheduled to take place at the Midland Country Country Club in Midland, Mich.
